*Join us for a workshop on one of three days to learn to use FracTracker to
map, communicate, and illustrate your concerns about hydrofracking.*

FracTracker.org is both a clearinghouse for information, and an
interactive, web-based DataTool for sharing and mapping data related to gas
extraction in the Marcellus Shale region.

FracTracker enables people to assess documented and predicted impacts and
correlate them with the geographic location of wells drilled and
accompanying production facilities. For the first time ever, people across
many disciplines will be able to collaborate directly with communities and
citizens in the collection and analysis of data that track these impacts
across the Marcellus Shale play. FracTracker also has the potential to
influence future research and policy.

Here's an example of the type of map you can make using FracTracker, showing
how separate datasets can be combined to tell a story, make a point, or
illustrate a concern.

We'll be holding hands-on workshops to introduce community members, elected
officials, and activists to use this flexible web-based communication tool.
With the comment period for the Marcellus SGEIS closing in December, there's
no better time than now to learn to use FracTracker to support your
concerns.

Hands-on workshops will be held in downtown Ithaca at three separate dates
in October. Choose one of:

   - Tuesday, October 18, 6-8:30 PM
   - Tuesday, October 25, 6-8:30 PM
   - Wednesday, October 26, 3-5:30 PM
