In the land of Dawes we live off the grid so the return of the sun is as important to us as it was in the olden days. We are sun worshippers and give gratitude to the sun, our solar panels and this special time of year that we gather to celebrate the light. The Land of Dawes provides opportunities to celebrate the celtic earth holidays depicting the spokes on the wheel ,Circle of Life. May we continue to be aware of the elements that sustain us: the sun, earth, wind and water. ON Wed. Dec. 21ST 6:00 AT CENTER ITHACA we will gather to sing solstice carols to the tunes of Christmas carols with the words changed to celebrate THE WINTER SOLSTICE ! Come with your head light, flash light and bells. Lyrics will be provided. Keep spreading the LIGHT...and spread the word to anyone you know who would enjoy this celebration!!!
