I am spearheading an Alternative Energy Vehicle show on Sunday, April 22nd,11-4
pm, at the Cortland County office building parking lot as part of the Earth
Week celebration that Sustainable Cortland is sponsoring. I'm looking for help
in organizing and promoting this event. I've already invited area car
dealerships that offer hybrid and electric cars to participate. I am also
looking for current owners of these types of cars to participate and provide
testimonials to the energy savings and other benefits to ownership. Besides
commercial vehicles, this event can feature biofuel powered vehicles such as
owner modified cars (or trucks or tractors) running on veggie oil. I'm trying
to locate and attract "home-brewers" to appear at the show and testify to the
energy independence they enjoy, especially in these times of high gas prices.
If you know of anyone who would like to show off their vehicle please let me
know. <[email protected]> Participants MUST pre-register !! The idea
is to set up a fun event that gets people thinking about renewable energy and
renew the interest in moving away from fossil fuels. I'd like to include some
cutting edge developmental vehicles - so if you have information please contact
me.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This
will be the first year for this event - let's help Ray get it off to a good
start.
