-------------------------------------
The search for missing Cornell student Chris Dennis is ongoing as of
10:00pm Friday, 4/24. More volunteers for land searches are needed for
tomorrow’s continuing effort. We will *ONLY* be operating out of the West
side location at *SHELDRAKE POINT* (map below), *NOT* Milliken. *We will be
fully operational by 10am Saturday May 25th please come prepared to help*.
Details below.

Chris's family and friends are extremely grateful for the outpouring of
support from our community. We thank the volunteers who canvassed Cayuga
Lake's perimeter and the many who have shown support by supplying us with
food, water and shelter.

Searches will continue until nightfall (volunteer coordinator contact info
below):

*Water Search:*
Five civilian boats with sonar will be going out tomorrow. There will be a
briefing at Treman Marina (entrance after the Hanger Theater) at 7:30 am.
We are looking for experienced boaters with waterproof gear to help man the
search. Please contact us if you are interested.

Due to weather conditions, we strongly ask that volunteers do not conduct
independent water searches (kayaks, small watercraft, etc.) unless they are
experts and have access to wetsuits and appropriate safety equipment.

*Ground Search:*
Volunteers will travel to the checkpoint on the west side of the lake-

We need the most volunteers for our ground searches. Most student carpools
will leave the Schwartz Center in College Town throughout the day. (We
suggest meeting under the gazebo, do not park at the bus stop) Please
self-organize, fill your cars, and find your way to us. Please sign up here:

*Volunteers*: Please expect cold rainy conditions; wear close-toe shoes,
warm clothing. We have food, water, reflective vests and ponchos available
throughout the day.
