Gardening for Native Bees & Butterflies

Choosing the right flowering plants can turn your yard into an oasis for 
butterflies, bees, and other pollinators.  Whether you have sun or shade, clay 
or sand, dry or wet, there are pollinator-friendly plants that can thrive in 
your environment.  Learn how to provide shelter and food for these keystone 
species.  Help reverse habitat loss by creating your own pollinator-friendly 
garden.  Gardening for Native Bees & Butterflies will be offered Thurs. March 
16, 6:30-8:30 pm at the Tompkins County Cornell Cooperative Extension Education 
Center, 615 Willow Avenue, Ithaca. Cost: $5-$10/person self-determined sliding 
scale.  Pre-registration is recommended to ensure enough handouts.  Please call
