Be a part of the America Recycles Day Fair! Saturday, November 3rd the
Tompkins County Solid Waste Management Division (TCSWMD) will be hosting its
annual America Recycles Day Fair at the Ithaca Mall (formerly Pyramid Mall).
This inspirational event will promote recycling and feature environmental
exhibitors from throughout the region, live performances, a pumpkin
composting smash, games, and much more.
To ensure success, we need volunteers like you to help with:
Set-up (9 to 10 am)
Games Booths (between 10 am and 4 pm)
-Games include soda bottle bowling, pie pan golf, and more
Reduce and Reuse Activities Booths (between 10 am and 4 pm)
-Build clocks from computer parts, make paper, pumpkin smashing, and
more!
Be a Super Hero! (between 10 am and 4 pm)
-Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rebuy! Costume provided.
T-Shirt Refashioning (between 9 am and 5 pm)
-Some training may be necessary beforehand
Welcome Table (between 10 am and 4 pm)
Clean-up (4 to 5 pm)
Volunteer shifts are flexible, although they are typically two hours each.
