A web cast, called "The 2% Solution" focusing on what individual citizens can do, will be aired at 8pm, in Stony Kill's geothermally-heated learning center. Pete Seeger will lead a few songs and then join a panel of Hudson Valley environmentalists and scholars for presentations before the webcast, with discussion and question-and-answer session following it at 9pm. The panel will also include Manna Jo Greene, Environmental Director of Clearwater, Les Hulcoop of Dutchess Co. Cooperative Extension, who works with farmers to produce biomass crops to be used for heat and power, and Professor Lucy Johnson, Environmental Archeologist and Sustainability Coordinator at Vassar College. This program is part of a national teach-in, the largest in U.S. history, which will help to prepare millions of students to become leaders in the largest civilizational challenge any generation has faced.
