I heard that some newer models were being designed for an easy way to flush
the system with vinegar to dissolve any mineral buildup. I'm on Bolton Point
(Cayuga Lake) water and have not detected any problems yet (into third
year). Not sure what I'm facing with my AquaStar if a problem does develop,
in
terms of ease of dismantling and flushing.

Living in Europe so much I thought often about instant hot water when I
finally settled here. I was put off by the advice from a dealer that high
mineral water - like from my deep well - would ruin the appliance by
clogging the small heating tubes. So my question is, what is the
maintenance, and does it really work?

Thanks,
Karl
