I once threshed grain at the Farmers Museum in Cooperstown, when we used 
to live out that way.  There are a number of non-electric, non-petro. 
farm resources there (incl. farmers).  It might be worth checking out:  
http://www.farmersmuseum.org/.  Perhaps someone at the museum could 
point you in the right direction.
