We have stack of Marmoleum Click sitting in our basement waiting to be installed over the concrete floor. We bought enough for half the basement, but haven't had time to put it down.
We do however have Marmoleum in both bathrooms and our kitchen, and we love it. Easy to clean, soft on the feet, and attractive. Gets lots of compliments. It is prone to damage, we nicked it after install when cutting something else on top of it, oops. But I haven't seen a problem with staining. Hope that helps, Eric ________________________________ From: Amy Christian <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, August 2, 2009 11:43:13 AM Subject: [SustainableTompkins] Local use of Marmoleum click tiles We are considering using Marmoleum click -- the user-installed tile form of Marmoleum -- in our c.1915 kitchen. We've looked at a lot of online reviews that reflect both love and hate for this product, so we're really torn about using it. We are considering using it for its green properties, as well as to preserve our original oak and fir flooring, since no subflooring, nails, screws or glue are required. But since some reviewers have had issues with installation, cleanliness and staining, it would be very helpful to hear from local folks, especially anyone who specifically used the click product directly over an old wood floor. And we'd really appreciate being able to see it as installed! Thanks for any feedback. _______________________________________________ For more information about sustainability in the Tompkins County area, please visit: http://www.sustainabletompkins.org/ RSS, archives, subscription & listserv information for: [email protected] http://lists.mutualaid.org/mailman/listinfo/sustainabletompkins Questions about the list? ask [email protected] free hosting by http://www.mutualaid.org _______________________________________________ For more information about sustainability in the Tompkins County area, please visit: http://www.sustainabletompkins.org/ RSS, archives, subscription & listserv information for: [email protected] http://lists.mutualaid.org/mailman/listinfo/sustainabletompkins Questions about the list? ask [email protected] free hosting by http://www.mutualaid.org
