Sustainable Tompkins is once again hosting its annual awards ceremony to recognize local sustainability initiatives. Each year, we make note of new efforts in three areas: new sustainable enterprises, new organizations devoted to some aspect of sustainability, and new sustainability programs or projects by established organizations. This year we noted over 130 Signs of Sustainability! We are holding a special reception to announce and honor all our "Signs of Sustainability" at the Womens' Community Building from 4-6:30PM on Sunday, December 6th. We’ll begin with refreshments and time for networking from 4-5 pm, then sit down together to hear about the wide array of achievements in the sustainability arena of the past year. It truly is a joyful experience to read through this year’s program. The local sustainability movement is shifting the culture of our community! IMPORTANT!!!!
