Primitive Pursuits School Break Days: Fire & Ice 2010
Mondays, January 18 & 25, 9:00 am-4:00 pm (with supervision 8:30 am-4:30 pm)

Primitive Pursuits, a wilderness skills program of Tompkins County Cornell Cooperative Extension, will offer outdoor programs for youth aged 8 to 14 on two Mondays in January when school is not in session. With the guidance of experienced wilderness skills educators, youth will explore the many facets of nature in winter while making primitive tools, learning and increasing their fire-building skills, and tracking woodland animals. Programs will be offered from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Mondays, January 18 and 25, with supervision provided from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and will be held at 4-H Acres at 418 Lower Creek Road in Ithaca. Fees for the program are $60-$80 per day, self-determined sliding scale. Register for both days for $100-$150, self-determined sliding scale.
