I haven't seen this posted yet, there is a Transition Initiative Training class in Binghamton Jan 16-17: http://binghamtonsustainability.org/index.php?/test/transitions-initiative/ I don't think I'll be able to go, but would be interested to hear if anyone on this list does go. I'm trying to get a copy of Rob Hopkins handbook, and look forward to reading it.
I didn't know that there was a previous Transition Town Initiative presentation in Ithaca, and from the discussion shared by Gay, Jon and Katie I see that many of the pieces the TTI offers are already falling into place in Tompkins County. Perhaps it is time to pull those together? The gas drilling issue has me thinking a lot about what we are going to say yes to, and my research keeps leading me to the TTI approach, though I still don't know at what level it can be successfully applied. If anyone is interested in talking more about TTI, let me know off-list: [email protected].
