Civic Dialogues involve community members and leaders, student
activists, and school faculty in problem solving about particular
issues to provide collective action. This series is informed and
driven by community organizing principles, both because the issues
to be taken into consideration are brought to our attention by
community leaders and because activities, including mobilization,
are implemented under community leadership. In this series of two
evenings, themes from the first Dialogue will be used to organize
the second.
Sponsored by the Cornell Public Service Center and co-sponsored by
Cornell Cooperative Extension, the Whole Community Project of CCE,
the Ithaca Health Alliance, the Ithaca Free Clinic, and the the
Office of Government and Community Relations at Cornell
University.
