The following event coincides with another downtown tasting event in Corning on Friday evening, and the venue for the festival is next door to a skating rink, so there's plenty of family fun available for our friends in Corning and surrounding communities. Please pass along!

Corning Locally-Grown Foods Festival

Cornell Cooperative Extension invites consumers to meet regional farmers and sample locally produced meats, vegetables, fruits, cheese, wines, microbrews and other farm products at the first-ever Locally-Grown Foods Festival in Corning, NY. More than 20 local producers will be present to talk about their farms and to share information on buying local products. The event will feature a series of mini-classes on working with local butchers, how to join a Community Supported Agriculture cooperative, the benefits of buying local meats and produce, and more. Some local products will be available for sale and Food Stamps will be accepted toward purchases. Admission is $5 per individual/$10 per family.
