As New Roots finishes its second trimester, the public charter high
school looks forward to rounding out a very successful first year. New
Roots is also looking further — to the coming academic year, when the
charter school will expand to incorporate an additional class of
students.

Currently serving 9th and 10th grade students who hail from 15
regional school districts, New Roots Charter School will grow 50
percent in its second year by adding an 11th grade. New Roots is now
enrolling 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students for the 2010-11 school
year, and invites interested families and prospective students to
visit the charter school at one of its weekly Parent-Teen Information
Nights.

Parent and Teen Information Nights give prospective students and their
families the opportunity to tour the school, meet and staff, and learn
first-hand from current students and parents why “Roots Rocks.” To
reserve their seat at a Parent and Teen Information Night, parents and
their teens — or community members who work with young people — can
call the school at 607-882-9220, extension 100.

Because New Roots is a public school, it is tuition-free and open to
any student eligible to attend a public school in New York State. More
details about Parent-Teen Information Nights, like dates and times,
are available on the New Roots Web site at www.newrootsschool.org.
