Call 607.882.9220 x 100 www.newrootsschool.org As New Roots finishes its second trimester, the public charter high school looks forward to rounding out a very successful first year. New Roots is also looking further — to the coming academic year, when the charter school will expand to incorporate an additional class of students. Currently serving 9th and 10th grade students who hail from 15 regional school districts, New Roots Charter School will grow 50 percent in its second year by adding an 11th grade. New Roots is now enrolling 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students for the 2010-11 school year, and invites interested families and prospective students to visit the charter school at one of its weekly Parent-Teen Information Nights. Parent and Teen Information Nights give prospective students and their families the opportunity to tour the school, meet and staff, and learn first-hand from current students and parents why “Roots Rocks.” To reserve their seat at a Parent and Teen Information Night, parents and their teens — or community members who work with young people — can call the school at 607-882-9220, extension 100. Because New Roots is a public school, it is tuition-free and open to any student eligible to attend a public school in New York State. More details about Parent-Teen Information Nights, like dates and times, are available on the New Roots Web site at www.newrootsschool.org. -- Taryn Thompson Assistant to the Principal New Roots Charter School 116 North Cayuga Street Public Charter High School Ithaca, New York 14850 http://newrootsschool.org o: 607.882.9220 x 203 m: 585.329.7784 f: 607.882.9230 -- Taryn Thompson Assistant to the Principal New Roots Charter School 116 North Cayuga Street Public Charter High School Ithaca, New York 14850 http://newrootsschool.org o: 607.882.9220 x 203 m: 585.329.7784 f: 607.882.9230 _______________________________________________ For more information about sustainability in the Tompkins County area, please visit: http://www.sustainabletompkins.org/ RSS, archives, subscription & listserv information for: [email protected] http://lists.mutualaid.org/mailman/listinfo/sustainabletompkins Questions about the list? ask [email protected] free hosting by http://www.mutualaid.org
