The "Error in _tcp_handler()" message comes from the Watt-32 library. Why and
how it can be related to SHSUCDX is something I have no clue about.
Interestingly, I am unable to reproduce the problem on my installation of
VirtualBox.. Perhaps it is an emulation glitch that is present only on a
specific version of the hypervisor?
I tested it on VirtualBox 6.1.30 under Linux. As for the CD driver I used
UDVD2. Curiously UDVD2 hangs the VM with a message saying "bad controller" when
it boots after a cold restart. The wonders of emulation I guess.

(...) Currently I'm unable to pull doszip. Max downloaded file size is 2 KiB or
10 KiB and I get "Error in _tcp_handler()" often. Sometimes the SvarDOS VM just
hangs.
It works better after removing SHSUCDX from memory/AUTOEXEC.BAT, which I added
recently. I'm able to reproduce this:
1) Boot w/o SHSUCDX.
2) 'pkgnet pull doszip' works fine.
3) run 'shsucdx /d:svcd0001' from command line.
4) Repeat 2) and it fails with several "Error in _tcp_handler()" messages.
