A valid explanation.
Although it is listed as "1.02g.mrlg" on
https://gitlab.com/FreeDOS/base/deltree or
https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/1.2/repos/pkg-html/deltree.html
I'm undecided. So it is now what it is.

Yes, sounds right, but a minor request: Also allow ~ (tilde) instead of
+ (plus). There might be a package with a plus sign already as part of
the "normal" version number somewhere. So + is the preferred sign, but ~
can be used as an alias, if required.

By the way: As you can see on
https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/1.2/repos/pkg-html/deltree.html
FreeDOS uses "(rev A)" sometimes, but at least for me, that's not clear
enough. The "rev A" might still be part of the "normal" version number.

I absolutely know this feeling.
Rome wasn't build in a day. :-D
Sometimes it's required to step back and go out for, e.g., table tennis
to clear your mind. ;-)

Then, why did you do it anyway?! *g*

Cheers,
