It's been a long time since I've been in the powerpoint world, but the 
general advice always used to be to simply keep the files together in a 
single dir, and then use a tool (VBA macrod IIRC) also available from nearby 
to your ppsvg2 - checking out the very good ppt faq will probably sort you 
out or try out the powerpoint newsgroup on msnews.microsoft.com - they used 
to be all very friendly over there.
