Just to add one last piece to the puzzle: on my friend's Windows machine that has XP service pack2, the rest being all the same as explained before, the <title> bug is not there...????? That's OK, please don't feel obliged to spend too much time. It's just something I noted and never took offence of, because I thought it was a AVS6 thing which would be solved in the final version. Now indeed the only thing I can think of that it is XP causing it.
