i agree with you that for a novice it can be quite disturbing, but then 
again, if this didnt happen to me, i would still write code that only 
works in IE.
you got to sometimes push the people in the right direction...

agreed, though if no one can see the new use-case, because the 
namespaces are missing, it will not do much possitive for SVG.
