Well my thoughts are that SVG has not really moved as much as it should have, with this going on at least we will know what's going to happen and whatever it will be, will probably be on a major scale, either it will be part of flash and SVG / Flash will grow or Adobe may consider not supporting it. I cannot see they are going to spend all time on both, they will choose a roadmap and put all effort into one area.
