Interestingly, the mobile market was one of the reasons that Adobe made
its move.  I wouldn't assume that the SVG position in mobile is safe or
secure.  

One could argue that the "big boys" may well prefer to deal with
companies like Adobe (+Macromedia) in terms of delivering rich content
to small devices.

I'm not worried about SVG. It has way too much traction in the mobile 
space to be stopped. Any strategy that tries to keep the desktop world 
separate from the mobile industry is a losing one.
