My guess is that wikipedia is save against spamming. How else would they manage? However, an SVG wiki might be too big for wikipedia, how about establishing an SVG wiki on wikibooks? There is already a http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/SVG , but that points to the wikipedia article at the moment.
