I completely agree. If the original poster is trying to say they don't want to bother with ASV-specific debugging, then this is a personal choice (one I'm starting to agree with), but ultimately you should be targetting standard compliant SVG that would work in Mozilla-based, Opera and Webkit-based browsers.
