Hi

i know this is not exactly what you are looking for, but there is a 
Mozilla ActiveX Controll as well,
and it does implement SVG,  and is completely leagal to use in your Apps.
see http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/control.htm ,  maybe you can resort 
to using this instead of ASV.
