thanks for your suggestions and the info about your zipprotocol. 
Unfortunately all my interactive SVGs have scripts and the 
application depends on them. In my understanding the host of the ASV 
is .NET's AxHost where I would have to implement IHtmlDocument2 (and 
I wonder if this is legally possible). Currently I can't use 
IE/WebBrowser to host the ASV control (customer!).
