With the furore over the demise of ASV, people seem to have forgotten that there is already another SVG viewer plugin for IE: Corel SVG Viewer is freely downloadable.
It has limitations and was stifled by Adobe, but is actually a well-rounded viewer that does everything ASV did except SMIL (like everyone else).
