Nico and I have just finished building a site for a photographer. I've uploaded a folder/file called SafariProblem/PaulaGillenSite/SafariCant.jpg to illustrate the problem I'm writing about below.
Testing we did of course, over and over and over, in all browsers. Even so, when our client tried to show off her new site to her colleagues at work, Safari required a plug-in that just seemed too troublesome, time-consuming (even frightening) for her to have to deal with in order for her to view her site. We know that this Safari thing is a known issue, that though SVG is supposed to be "native" with Safari, it still has to be accepted the first time. We feel that in this case, we're fighting a loosing battle concerning SVG usage for a small splash screen. Especially with the latest IE situation. We're very sad to change our methods--but that's the way the world is spinning these days. Big guilty sigh... ----- To unsubscribe send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -or- visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/svg-developers and click "edit my membership" ---- Yahoo!
