  'document.rootElement' thanks.

  The loading trick was because of slow loading SVGDocument was not availiable
until loaded.

  Don't know if that is still necessary using 'document'.

  to access the root element you can simply use "rootElement"

  either:
  * document.rootElement
  * or in your case: SVGDocument.rootElement

  Note that what you do below (SVGDocument =
  LoadEvent.target.ownerDocument;) is not really necessary. the
  document object is automatically available anyway. It doesn't hurt
  what you do, but it is also not necessary.

  What I don't understand is why you need to add <g id="Chart"/> to the
  root element. Isn't it already a child of the root element in your
  case below?

  Anyway, I hope this helps,
  Andreas
