Harvey, in addition the the link Andreas mentioned, I had wanted to pass along another color picker. The JavaScript is self-contained within the SVG and fairly lightweight. I had also wanted to track down a bug which prevents it from working properly in Firefox (it is okay in IE and Opera) but I didn't have time. Anyhow, it avoids the hassle with your PNG images since the content of the color sliders is regenerated dynamically.
http://srufaculty.sru.edu/david.dailey/svg/rainbow.svg Unlike the HSB color picker that plots a Hue line orthogonal to an SxB plot, it uses three unidimensional plots (plus another one for higher precision in the H dimension), hence allowing, in principle, conservation of screen real estate. cheers, David [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
