Harvey, in addition the the link Andreas mentioned, I had wanted to pass along 
another color picker. The JavaScript is self-contained within the SVG and 
fairly lightweight. I had also wanted to track down a bug which prevents it 
from working properly in Firefox (it is okay in IE and Opera) but I didn't have 
time. Anyhow, it avoids the hassle with your PNG images since the content of 
the color sliders is regenerated dynamically.

Unlike the HSB color picker that plots a Hue line orthogonal to an SxB plot, it 
uses three unidimensional plots (plus another one for  higher precision in the 
H dimension), hence allowing, in principle, conservation of screen real estate.
