hello,
am i right in saying ie7 has no native support for svg and that users have to download adobe svg viewer to view our svg. i've noticed on computers using ie7 without any installation of the svg viewer that i am not prompted to download the viewer when i try to view svg projects. what is the most successful way to prompt users to download the svg viewer. both code wise and how the instructions are relayed. my problem is that a majority of my traffic will have no interest in svg development and being asked to install something they may not have heard of will stop some users from progressing. i personally feel it is important how they are asked to proceed. people need to feel like in downloading an svg viewer that they are getting the key to experiencing many cool new possibilities as a user. the benefits perceived by the layman are, i figure, quite different to those of a developer. are there any major sites using svg that do not receive traffic that has a high developer bias. i'd like to see how they tackle the problem. if this is not the place to talk about these issues, someone please tell me to shut up. cheers harvey [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
