I can confirm that
<object name="svg0" data="any.svg" width="1000" height="610"
type="image/svg+xml"></object>
or
document.write('<object name="svg0" data="any.svg" width="1000"
height="610" type="image/svg+xml">');
do NOT work online, along with other variants AND the variant in MS
article. They only work local. The latter only with the WMP classid
taken out, of course, or replaced by Adobe.SVGCtl CLSID 377B5106-3B4E-
4A2D-8520-8767590CAC86 (is this uniformed anyway?).

is very neat but the expected result just isn't there, and I agree,
this is obnoxious.
