Found the problem.

I was using IE6 from a bundle of stand-alone IE installs.  The main browser
install on my machine is IE7.  This was the cause of failure.

If you try it on a machine with a native IE6 install, it works fine.  And
the FixEolas is not required because of the .innerHTML method.
