It was made VERY CLEAR yesterday at WWDC that the version of Safari in Leopard will be the EXACT SAME version as on the iPhone, and on Windows (when it goes 1.0).
So yes, whatever SVG supports in Safari on the desktop will also function 100% identically on the iPhone.
