Jake, try http://www.peepo.co.uk keyboard navigation wfm.
opera, mozilla and safari-webkit now support keyboard navigation in SVG. however you may need to enable this in the browser or user agent... I suspect this is the issue, I have requested that the default be enabled, but... regards Jonathan Chetwynd Accessibility Consultant on Media Literacy and the Internet On 14 Nov 2007, at 00:14, Jake B wrote: Hi, I feel like the question I'm about to ask must have been answered already, because it deals with the very basic functionality of capturing keypress events. My question is this: I've run into a big problem with SVG, which is that SVG 1.1 does not provide a key event set, and so it seems that neither Firefox nor Opera are able to capture keypress events. This functionality appears to be actually explicitly left out of the SVG 1.1 spec (see http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG/interact.html#SVGEvents, toward the bottom). I've tested this in Firefox 2.0.0.8, Firefox-3.0b, and Opera 9.50 beta 1. Neither of them capture keypress events. This does appear to work in Batik 1.7. I haven't tested ASV. Is there a canonical workaround to get this to work in Firefox or Opera? I'd greatly appreciate any guidance anyone can offer. Thank you for your time.
