Jerrold, one issue is the embedding of rdf metadata such as copyright. these images could easily have had the attribution in the svg. like this: http://www.w3.org/Icons/SW/sw-cube-v.svg unfortunately it then doesn't validate for svg or rdf, but that's another story.
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Weather_symbols doesn't yet have this metadata almost every svg on the peepo websites is public domain. ~:" Jonathan Chetwynd Accessibility Consultant on Media Literacy and the Internet On 8 Dec 2007, at 16:34, Jerrold Maddox wrote: i just discovered a group of anatomical illustrations, many of which are SVG files, the Patrick Lynch donated to Wikipedia earlier this year under a Creative Commons licence. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Patrick_Lynch Has anyone else made a similar donation of SVG files, especially maps and illustrations?
