Supported in Flash 10, Flex 4, Illustrator CS4, and to some extent in other Adobe apps. The specification is here: http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/FXG+1.0+Specification You can play with it in the "open source" Flex 4 SDK: http://www.mikechambers.com/blog/2008/08/28/getting-started-with-flex- 4-fxg-and-flex-builder-3/ Just as with Microsoft XAML, most of it was stolen from SVG hook line and sinker. It is on the one hand sad that the open standard SVG couldn't be just directly supported by Adobe or Microsoft, but at the same time nice to have some functional rendition engines for declarative XML graphic description languages, even if they are proprietary. And rather stunning how little non-SVG functionality exists in either monopoly's copy. SVG lives, sort of, in FXG.
