> several hyper links are given. As Yu Zhang has stated, this seems to be an IE-specific issue. Loading several ActiveX at the same time usually tends to crash the browser. You'll find several posts within this list which refer to a that situation (a recent one [1], for example).
I haven't checked IE8 regarding this (not sure if there were improvements) but this is a more-or-less known issue and as far as I know there is no known workaround. Nevertheless, you may attempt to load the files one at a time using script (creating and inserting the "object" element in turns).
