I'm creating SVGs with Illustrator, then embedding them into PDF user guides which are created using Apache FOP. I need to control the displayed size of the SVGs by programmatically changing their attributes.
The SVGs contain various drawing objects as well as embedded PNGs. Originally I thought I would have to scale not only the canvas/background but also the individual objects. However, what seems to work best so far is just changing the values of the width and height attributes on the <svg> element. (Interestingly, changing the viewbox values doesn't give me the results I want.) Is there anything I should beware of with this approach? Anything that cannot be scaled in this way? I don't know much about SVG structure, so feel I may be missing something important. Thanks for any tips. ------------------------------------ ----- To unsubscribe send a message to: [email protected] -or- visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/svg-developers and click "edit my membership" ----Yahoo!
