Hi Jacob, Sam Ruby has been including SVG inline in his Atom feed for years now. I have no idea about the rules for doing this in RSS, so I would Atom for this task.
On my own blog, I have recently switched over to using <img> tags referencing SVG elements since the set of browsers that do not support that is now rapidly dwindling with IE 9 and Firefox 4 imminent releases. I was pleased to see my clipart start to show up in Google Reader (when using a browser that supported SVG-in-img).
