Well what I realize after looking at Titanium website is that I need to develop the application in javascript which is then converted into Objective-C Well I am kind of inclined against using a translator as I fear landing into some kind of restrictions which could hamper my application capabilities.
I would still prefer to directly use Objective-C APIs for iOS. I looked at UIWebView but not sure if the user experience would be ideal and not look like another window opening up for the browser to fit in Regards Raks A On Thu, Jan 13, 2011 at 3:28 PM, Guy Morton <[email protected]> wrote: > > > Titanium embeds a webkit engine in your app. > > > On 13/01/2011, at 4:55 PM, Raks A wrote: > > > Could not find anything related to SVG in Titanium, are you sure that > > Titanium has built in SVG player than can play SVG SMIL animation ? > > > > - Raks A > > > > > > > > > > On Thu, Jan 13, 2011 at 10:03 AM, Guy Morton > > <[email protected]<guy%40alchemy.com.au>> > wrote: > > > >> > >> > >> Look at the Titanium framework. > >> > >> > >> > http://www.appcelerator.com/products/titanium-mobile-application-development/ > >> > >> > >> On 13/01/2011, at 3:24 PM, Raks A wrote: > >> > >>> I know SVG is supported in iPhone Safari browser, but are there APIs to > >> play > >>> SVG SMIL animation using iPhone APIs > >>> > >>> I've never written iPhone App but planning to write an iPhone app > >> utilizing > >>> the power of SVG SMIL animation instead of flash > >>> I searched for SVG in the iOS develper website and I could find > >> references > >>> of it only related to Safari browser but not for developing an App so > >> that > >>> is the reason I am kind of confused as to whether if I can play a SVG > >> SMIL > >>> animation from within an iPhone App > >>> > >>> - Raks A > >>> > >>> > >>> [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > >>> > >>> > >>> > >>> ------------------------------------ > >>> > >>> ----- > >>> To unsubscribe send a message to: > >> [email protected]<svg-developers-unsubscribe%40yahoogroups.com> > <svg-developers-unsubscribe%40yahoogroups.com> > > >>> -or- > >>> visit http://groups.yahoo.com/group/svg-developers and click "edit my > >> membership" > >>> ----Yahoo!
