This only works in Opera and IE/ASV because of fairly heavy SMIL work (webkit doesn't support the SMIL - Script - SMIL calls and FF seems thrown by the transform of the mpath) but it is rather fun nevertheless:
http://granite.sru.edu/~ddailey/svg/SMILscript6.svg I call it "you are what you eat". Did you ever notice how the aerodynamics of falling leaves has a lot to do with their shape? Well these things establish their own physics. It took about two hours to create and fine tune today (though I had some prior incarnations that were simpler and worked across browsers, before the muse caught me). Without SMIL it would never have happened, but who's to say the world would be any worse off? Wasn't there a botanist who used to drop full grown maple trees out of B52's because they fell to earth like maple seeds?
