I don't know if it's obvious or even useful, but I played with this a bit and
read a bit and determined that if you use the line:
var myName=theCircle.getAttribute("fme:count");
that's with a lowercase "count" it works in Firefox 10.0.2 under Windows.
Firebug reports that this attribute has no namespace, but then I remembered
reading something about that and found it here:
http://reference.sitepoint.com/javascript/Attr
It says that the attribute has no namespace of its own and specifically points
out that getAttributeNS won't retrieve that attribute using the namespace of
the owning element. I *think* that applies here and empirically that seems to
be supported. I don't know why the difference in case seems to matter.
