Yes, it was a sort of MFC (actually role="merged" handling will not be used). In the past when the relnotes (and hardware notes) was separated into files for each platforms the arch="" is used for the separation, but after we have one relnotes file for all platforms, arch="" is used for generation a tag like "[i386,amd64]" in the head of paragraph. The change was for the functionality change. The current hardware notes for 7.x and HEAD have no arch="" attr because they have sections for each platforms and there is no need to add a tag like "[i386]". -- | Hiroki SATO
