Right. Perhaps "jail" and "unjail". Some pair to move an interface
into a vnetted jail and to reclaim it from one.

back to parent when jail dies).
It does. But there's also an allowance for it going back before then.
Vimage has the ability to give the interface back to the parent, which
is the same thing from a different direction.
