I don't know about that one, but our xterm entry is intentionally broken in at least one area: it does not contain the sequences necessary to restore the previous screen when you exit from less, top etc. Be prepared for a flame war if you try to fix it; apparently, some people believe that their personal preferences are more important than correctness, not to mention everybody else's preferences. Is there a good reason for not using the (presumably correct and up-to-date) termcap file that ships with ncurses?
