I've just reversed an action taken by Michael by deactivating a membership which he approved.
I did this because team membership implies PPA upload access, and as a PPA operating as a semi-official distribution point for compiled binaries of Subversion, it behooves us to act with considerable care regarding what software may be, by our actions, distributed to many users worldwide. Or, to put it another way, unless someone is fully trusted to upload to the PPA and distribute software under our collective banner, they should not be in the team. The nature of the "welcome and please introduce yourself" message left by Michael makes me believe this was not a person well-known by previous association with Subversion, hence my actions in this regard. I've also taken the precaution of reconfiguring the team from Moderated to Restricted mode, which disallows people from submitting join requests using the Launchpad web UI - they must actually communicate with us to request membership.
