AFAIK, SVNkit client uses basic authentication in contrast to Turtoise. But what if the repository can negotiate on authentication schema to be used? Turtoise can then folow and negotiate a schema. But SVNkit can not. The Server expects first NTLM, then Digest and then Basic Authentication. SVNKit may fail. But if you pass a hint to the server when launching the SVNClient code like -Dhttp.auth.preference=Basic, that has done it for me for SVNKit on OpenVMS and for maven on OpenVMS while it was not required for both obn my PC, also just to pass the outgoing proxy server of our company.
