I'd recommend you to start with Subversion Book
(http://svnbook.red-bean.com/) - this way you'll learn more about
Subversion and on what is possible to do with it. Then you may think
about what exact things of these possible ones you'd like your tool to
handle and whether SVNKit may help you with that.
